Europeal Union Location Framework (EULF)
EULF is an EU project for the promotion of effective location-enabled e-government across Europe, as part of the Interoperability Solutions for Public Administrations (ISA) programme. This project is a repository of recommendations, guidelines, methodologies, case studies, training, pilots and collaborative actions that require the free flow of location data and ensure its effective use in e-government services through an interoperable framework for public authorities.
Thanks to this, it provides a framework for ‘location-enabled’ eGovernment, enabling the assessment and action for the exchange and sharing of location information. Through extensive consultation, an initial blueprint of guidance and recommendations, the use of standards, opportunities for strategies alignment and policies, and a series of pilot developments, the EULF blueprint can be applied in key sectors such as transportation.
